My thoughts about Sir Ken Robinson and his ideas about school are that I agree. He wondered why the school system is trying to prepare kids for the future but we don't know what the future looks like. He also said that all kids have are capable of anything. I think that if you put your mind to anything you can accomplish your dreams.

I think a school could be making kids lose creativity because I realize that as kids get older they get less creative but I think this is because kids are afraid of being judged when they get older. This might be caused by school but it can be caused by many things so I think that school could be making kids lose their creativity but it could be other things too

we don't know what the world will look like in a few years but we still have to be prepared for that. what this man is trying to say is don't put your emotions in a bag and forget about them. if you are scared of being wrong you will never try to be right. we don't grow into creativity we grow out of it. by schools spending more time on Math than creativity arts that is another way creativity is shut down.

My thoughts Sir Ken Robinson's video regarding if school is killing creativity. Is that I believe it is at some parts of school but also can build your creativity. First it is building it, Because they ask you to talk about and think about what you think something is which then your imagination and creativity goes everywhere. Also school is killing your creativity, Because on some assignments it has to be a certain answer and they tell you what to study and why to study it. Also you get some freedom of that when you get older.

His ted talk was really interesting because is made me realize that school is taking away creativity. In school my worth is decided by a letter. A, you are amazing good for you! B,you are getting there it's ok. C-F, you are not good enough. In school we are paralyzed by failure that hasn't happened. Taking chances is so nerve-racking because if we fail it is not ok. Once we are told we are wrong we are afraid to take more chances after that. "Follow the rules and you will pass my class." It isn't that surprising to hear that in a classroom. Most teachers do not encourage creativity because if it isn't what the textbook says it isn't correct. The education system is taking away the creativity in kids and it needs to be changed.

I think he is trying to tell people that when you learn you can be creative in a way you never learned to be. I think you have to be creative when you learn so you can think of new perspective, this relates to me because it tells me to have more perspective in everything that I do by being creative no matter what am doing.

After watching this video, I think we should have more choice, we sith in a class room everyday. We should be able to choose what the rules are how the classes run. This way we get to use our creativity, we would learn more if we figure out our own strategies, or creating our own things. This is why sports impacts your life more, you get to use game strategies, come up with new things for the sport. I think we should be able to chose our classes based off of what jobs or goals we set for later in our life. I agree with this guy, school just produces professors for schools, whoever did good in school, gets better jobs. Degrees are getting more complicated by the year, some jobs just need that, but other jobs need more. We shouldn't have to need that to follow our dreams.

School can limit your creativity. It makes everyone frightened of being wrong and making mistakes, so it sort of scares off creativity because everyone is focused on math class and not pottery. While math is important, I believe that there needs to be more time for children to be able to work on their creativity.

He makes some good points about education and creativity, he tells jokes and story's as sort of life lessons. Things people were good at art weren't given any praise or any help because they weren't good at it, kids were not afraid to be wrong, but nowadays as adults, they are frightened of being wrong.

In the video I think that kids as they get older loose creativity which I didn't really think of why so when he was talking about getting educated out of creativity I realized that when he said you are less creative when you are scared of being wrong that kids are scared of being wrong because being wrong means you get a bad grade or that your not smart so kids are educated out of being creative. - Sierra W.

While talking during the Ted Talk he explained about the future and how were supposed to prepare for the rest of our lives while we don't even know what tomorrow will look like. He also emphasised creativity is almost more important than education. He gave examples through stories and humor. "If you're not prepared to be wrong, you're not prepared to be creative." Were born creative but instead grown out of it through education. Our core classes are more important than classes like dance. We should celebrate the human creativity instead of ruining it with education

I find it very interesting that the fear of being wrong can affect one's creativity. How could someone withhold creativity after getting an education?

My thoughts about Sir Ken Robinson and how school can effect peoples creativity is people are so afraid of being wrong that they don't take chances and they just lose the creative ideas. Most of the time creativity is overlooked and just passed over. In school we have core classes and then our elective classes or whatever we do to be creative with our free time school takes up that time. Caley Skeeters

I like what he said about how you can't be creative if you're afraid to be wrong. Like little kids, they don't care about what other people think of them nor if they're wrong, that's why they are creative. This made me think a lot because it made me realize that being creactive comes from the power of knowing that whatever you do might be wrong but you aren't afraid to make, say, or do new things and ideas.I wonder why when kids grown into adults, some lose their creativity? Why do they care if they're wrong or not?

My takeaway from this video is that sometimes school can make children scared of making mistakes which in turn makes them grow out of their creativity. I think this happens because teachers, administrators, and often parents are so worried about grades and getting into certain schools that look good. Many people start to care more about how they look to society and the amount of money whether than working on what they are good at. I also think that as an entire school system this could be easily worked on.

I think that he might have a point, went we were little we had a lot more creativity and as we get older it slowly fades away. I think he's right when it comes to the point that the school system makes us less creative since most schools all they care about is grades and academics not art, music, drama ect, those make people who are creative slowly stop caring or stop doing what they love because it isn't what society wants.

I agree with him because as people grow up fewer people are eager to raise their hand in the fear that they could be wrong. Nowadays most people would choose to say nothing in the chance of being wrong than to speak up and maybe learn something if they are wrong. I also agree with the fact that one good educator or person can change someone's life if they don't try to bury their creativity and just want to help them.

All people want to learn, and creativity and learning should be treated the same. If your not prepared to be wrong, your not ready to learn. Mistakes are one of the best things we can make because it causes us to problem solve and be creative. Our future depends on the next generation and what they decide to do. In academics, the system is not flexible, and the system isn't very accepting to different types of learners. The system tries to get you to fit into their topics so it doesn't give you as many opportunities to be creative.

creativity is also related to school. Kids are frightened of being wrong but you have to take a chance of creativity.intelligence is dynamic, diverse interactive. people original ideas that have value is creative. intelligence is distinked. theirs different types of mistakes like in school if you fail a test then it changes your grade and affects you. and creativity can be different things and different thoughts. As you get older you don't wanna be wrong and it drains your creativity.

I agree with what he said. I think that it is important to have creativity and that we should be more like kids in the sense of being prepared to be wrong and not care what others think. He said one of the things in schools that is taking away creativity is that they focus on mistakes. When you do badly on a test or an assignment that is often focused on much more than when you do really good on a test. When you focus on your mistakes more than your successes it can take away your creativity.

I believe creativity comes and goes in waves because it depends on what you are doing or what subject you are in. But in school you it destroys any creativity because you are just trying to get that good grade to please your parents or for your school records for college. I belive everything you do in school is just to be able to understand a topic once it and then forget by the time the next subject is up.

In school vs. creativity, the speaker made some good points about school and growing creativity in school, and how their was a hagiarchy of subjects in school that crushes creativity by design. He also made some good point about how school makes kids afraid to fail and as a young kind they are less afraid to fail and that they will try more things instead of being confined and afraid to branch out.

I agree with Sir Ken Robinson in many ways in School vs Creativity because like he said you can't grow into creativity you can only grow out of it. I feel that school isn't the entire reason for this I bet more things account for it as well but I believe school is a big part of it because school teaches you that there is only a right answer and a wrong answer and there is no median for creativity.

I agree and disagree with what ken robinson was saying. You might lose interest in you hobbies and might not be as creative anymore, but now it's more common to have interest like dancing, acting, art, ect. Now you can take classes that interest you and your also allowed to be creative and now get as judged for it as much as you would have.

I agree with what he is saying. Schools are focusing so much on subjects like Math and Language Arts and not focusing enough on creative arts. Sure there are classes and clubs you can take but just like he said, we don’t do them everyday like Math.

I agree with what he's saying. Schools make you afraid of being wrong, if you're wrong you will lose points for anything. Being "right" is only making you think a certain way, the way most people think, which is uncreatively.
