Poetry In Music?

this represents allegory because it is a spiritual representation of a woman dieing and going to heaven.

Rank and tank are the two word that rhyme in the lyrics. The rhyme in the lyrics and associated with end rhyme and are the same length.

You know that I can use somebody." The lyrics in this song have a deeper meaning if you think about it. It is like a poem because of that.

This song Into Your Arms by The Maine relates with our study of poetry because the lyrics I used could make one stanza and they all connect back to the main idea of the poem/song.

"There's no time like the present to build a future from the past for hearts that are breaking there's healing at last" is sung by Ron David Moore called The Shape of Your Heart. The connection of this lyric is the ballad, which is a narrative poem of strongly marked rhythm suitable for singing.

All Time Low,(stay awake). these lyrics really stick out to me every time i hear this song, songs are poetry, they both have a deeper meaning or connection with in them. i think

These lyrics represent a cadence and an assonance. The sequence has a rhythmic flow and the same sounds throughout the lyrics. The overall theme of the song is also shown through these lyrics.

" Tattoos of memories and dead skin on trial it's not a question but a lesson learned in time it's something unpredictable but in the end its right i hope you had the time of your life." This is "Time of your life" by Green Day and it shows the poetic guidelines by having a deeper meaning than what it shows, it makes you think and put your mind into it and really think about your text. It also shows imagery and put that picture of the tattoos and dead skin on trial in your head.

And I wanna come down and walk around, your mine." These lyrics are from Manhattan From the Sky by Kate Voegele. This represents a metaphor. It is comparing a person and the city of Manhattan, the skyline of Manhattan and the outside of the person are beautiful and put together. Manhattan and the person are both a mess on the inside.

This is personification, becasue they arnt really crawling they are just saying that there relationship is not strong so they have to be careful until it is strong again. They are giving feelings human behaviors.

"I dont want to go through the motion" This song by Matthew West it a Paradox, because it seems self-contadictind, but it is so true. Many of us just go through the motions of doing so many things, instead of taking things to heart, and actually believing and loving.

Erin Chilton -"the angel from my nightmare, the shadow in the backround of the morgue..." - Blink 182, I miss you. These lyrics represent an oxymoron because you wouldn't usually expect a good angel to be in a bad nightmare. The two are opposites that are used to describe what the song is about.

That line is an oxymoron, putting two contradictory words together. An oxymoron is a poetry term. This is one of many songs that can prove song lyrics are poems.

This is a figure of speech because of the fact that in actuality money really does not grow on trees.

To me this song is a allegory because it is telling a story about life. I also think it is a imagery type of song because it really make you relate and think about memories that you have.

A Drop in The Ocean by Ron Pope.
"A drop in the ocean, a change in the weather, I was prayin that you and me might end up together."

This is rhyme. A very simple form of poetry.

I picked the song “Awakening” by Switchfoot because it reminded me of the term Personification. The term Personification means giving human traits (qualities, feelings, action, or characteristics) to non-living objects (things, colors, qualities, or ideas).

This song shows rhyme and it also represents ballad because it is a song about how they miss that certain someone which tells a story. It also uses octave because there are different tones to the song because it is sung.

This song Free to Be Me by Francesca Battistelli is like a poem because of its symbolism. It is comparing certain everyday things to life.

This song really speaks to me, this song is poetry because it has such a deep meaning and it expresses a lot of emotion which is what I think poetry is.
