"Is anything am doing brand new or is it to late." Brand New Drake

I think these lyrics kind of go with the poem because the person who is talking about the bird going down the walk has never seen that happen.

"Give me the green light, give me just one night." Green Light by John Legend
There are a few poetry terms in the lyrics to this song. For example it uses an alliteration, assonance, and caesura. It has a repitition of the same sound, repeats same vowels, and it takes a pause between sentences.

He never took a chance or took the time to dance
And I stood there thinking as I said goodbye
Today is the first day of the rest of my life
When the Sand Runs Out
Rascal Flatts

This is one of my most moving, most favorite songs. This song/poem is an example of an elegy; a poem that laments a person's death. It describes how a person can see life flash before their eyes and something as big as someone close to them dying as the thing to get them to change that. But it is also thoughtful and respectful so it makes a perfect elegy.

"Already Over Now."
- Red
This line goes perfectly to the poem "Alone" by Debbie Setzer and Jessie Robinson because the two authors are talking about being alone and this line talks about how theres nothing left to live for. This lyric explains the emotions that are illustrated in the poem "Alone".

"The sky is full of dreams, but you dont know ow to fly"
-The Killers (This is you life)

I chose this line because it has a metephore in it. The metephore is that this person has so many dreams for things that she wants to do but she dosen't know how to achive them or get them done.

"Little did I know That you were Romeo; you were throwing pebbles,
And my daddy said, 'Stay away from Juliet.'"

i think these lyrics could be described as a metaphor because they werent Romeo and Juliet but they felt as if they could be because they were so in love but they were forbidden to see eachother by their parents. So it resembles the play written by Shakespear but it was not them in the actual play reading the parts.

"Any way you want it, thats the way you need it. any way you want it.... she said hold on, hold on, baby hold on" -Journey

i love this parts[s] of the song 'anyway you want it" by Journey, because i think it shows someone your willing to do what ever, when ever because you love them so much and you'd do anything for them. you just want them to be satisfied and you want them to make it through what ever it is thats troubling them. i think thats one of the most beautiful things you can do say for someone and thats mostly what life is about. and thats all we can really ask for.

That line from that song is even a similie because it says "like", and also it compares the girls eyes to sunsets so it is a similie.

Livin' on the edge of obnoxious
They call me raucous
I'm a freak, I can't stop this
Ardently enthused about God
No hand-me-down nod
Your gonna get all I got
High-steppin' from the twenty on in
Knees to my chin
I'm rollin' deep in momentum
Burnin' with the hard core flame
No shame in this game
I'm followin' my heart not my brain

these lyrics follow the word ballad because its a narative poem that can be sung

"You're so good at stretching the truth into a sugar coated lie. Everyone takes a bite. I have been dining with the enemy. It was a wolf in sheep's clothing, now it's so clear to me."
Wolf In Sheep's Clothing By This Providence

These lyrics could be described as imagery because when he describes lies he says they are "sugar coated" This makes me see a clear picture in my mind.

Hello Seattle, I am a mountaineer
In the hills and highlands
I fall asleep in hospital parking lots
And awake in your house

Hello Seattle, I am a manteray
Deep beneathe the blue waves
Ill crawl the sandy bottom of Puget Sound
And construct a summer home

Hello Seattle, I am the cresant moon
Shining down on your face
I will disguise myself as a sleeping pill
And descend inside of you

Hello Seattle, I am a cold seahorse
Feeling warm in your sand
I sing about the tide and the ocean surf
Rolling in the evening breeze

Hello Seattle, I am an albatross
On the docks and your boats
I sail above your inlets and interstates
Through the rain and open wind

Hello Seattle, I am an old lighthouse
Throwing beams of bright lights
Red in the morning, blue in the evening sun
Taken heed from everyone

Hello Seattle, I am a mountaineer
In the hills and highlands
I fall asleep in hospital parking lots

Take me above your light
Carry me through the night
Hold me secure in flight
Sing me to sleep tonight
-owl city

The lyrics of this song are a great representation of personification. The person singing these songs says they are compared to many things around him.

"Keep your head still
I'll be your thrill
The night will go on
My little windmill"
All the small things by Blink182

This is rhyme because still, thrill, and windmill's endings agree with each other

"Its Already Over!"
RED

This is really a lyric mostly because it is a feeling expressed in a song and really tells what the singer is thinking. Also it can be an alliteration because in the song they sing this part of the song over and over and really makes it stick in your mind.

"You change your mind like a girl changes clothes"
Hot N Cold by Katy Perry

This song is like a poem because it uses similes. This certain simile is comparing a guy changing his mind a lot to a girl who changes clothes a lot.

"Emotive, unstable, you're like an unwinding cable car."
Anberlin

This line in the song shows a simile because it is comparing a person to an unwinding cable car. It explains how they are alike.
